Redefining Healthcare Together.

Low income is not poor - it’s average. Look around our country; people are poor. A lot of people need help. Look around the world “Poor” is normal. Wealth is not. Nearly 50% of the world lives on less than $2.50 a dollar a day. Dont let the “Jones” define your happiness, keeping up with others is a sure-fire recipe for disappointment.

–Matt Wanderer, Founder and CEO

Our Company

Built in Miami, Florida in the Cambridge Innovation Center at University of Miami’s Life Science and Technology Park

We hope to expand access of affordable healthcare while prioritizing convenience and accessibility through our Telehealth platform.

Our platform operates via smartphone, tablet or laptop device allowing members to connect virtually with their doctor 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

The EpicMD solution began with no rules. In collaboration of the brightest minds, in both the healthcare and technology industries, we came together to map how healthcare could be optimally delivered by learning from other industries and building a totally new healthcare delivery model. One focused on the Physician / Patient relationship. The questions remained true through dozens of iterations: “How can we make healthcare more convenient and less expensive?”

Along the way we learned a lot about how great care could be made simple. The rich and famous have long enjoyed the benefits of what is called “Concierge Medicine.” A high cost, healthcare membership model where the patient and Physician work in true partnership, There are no painful waits at the doctor's office, lab testing and medications are conveniently coordinated for the member each month. The member has 24/7 access to quality care when they need it and subsequently doesn’t get sick often.

Our mission became clear; to reinvent the concierge care experience in a digital on-demand solution, at a fraction of the cost using the mobile tools that people expect.

Our Values

We hope to expand access of affordable healthcare while prioritizing convenience and accessibility through our mobile telemedicine platform.

As a team, we place value on the respect and appreciation we have for each other. We are driven, yet always enjoy the time we work together.

Our commitment to honesty means  we resolve to communicate openly and to always take responsibility for our words and actions.

We aim to constantly create new market places that change and redefine healthcare instead of fighting competitors for existing market share.

EpicMD was built to fit into the lives of everyone by prioritizing health and wellness through a simple and easy to use platform.

Visionary Leadership

EpicMD is led by California native, Matt Wanderer who has now been listed three times in the top ranks of the INC 500 for various companies he has founded.

Built to remedy the challenges of access, cost and convenience in US healthcare; EpicMD was first inspired while on a trip to Southern India in 2010. While earning his MBA with the NYU Stern School of Business, the London School of Economics and HEC Paris, Matt had an unforgettable opportunity to visit with the leadership of Apollo Hospitals India. During that visit, he saw first-hand the power of mobile health care, and was introduced to a concept that would forever shape his vision for the future of healthcare delivery.

Matt saw that through the use of mobile care units, satellite link and remote video technology, Apollo could treat patients in remote villages up to 1000 miles away. Remotely, a surgeon could safely perform hundreds of minor medical procedures a day, all at a fraction of the cost of an in-person procedure. The practice of virtual healthcare in India opened doors to people who would otherwise never receive the help they needed.

After returning from India, Matt dove straight into the world of health technology, founding the nation’s leading personalized medicine company, RestoreHealth. By 2014, the company had become the 8th fastest growing private company in America. In spite of its success, Matt had never been able to shake that calling from India, and still yearned for an opportunity to share with the US, the company he had been visioning since 2010, one that could alleviate economic pressure on the U.S. health care system as a whole while providing Americans with a new level of patient convenience. In 2015, Restore Health was sold allowing Matt the freedom to focus full-time on that vivid spark— and on the journey that is Epic Health.
